Liza Minnelli had audiences on their feet screaming for more when she made a triumphant return to the Australian concert stage in two sell-out performances at the Sydney Opera House this weekend. Having now conquered the Opera House Liza moves on to the next five stops on her national tour of Australia, starting at the Perth Riverside Theatre next Wednesday. Liza will return to Sydney at the end of the tour.

Based on her current Tony Award winning Broadway show “Liza’s At The Palace”, the concert featured hit song after hit song in an incomparable Minnelli songfest. Songs such as “Cabaret”, “Maybe This Time”, “Mammy”, “Liza with a Z”, “Every Time We Say Goodbye”, “If You Hadn’t, But You Did”, “All The Lives Of Me”, “My Own Best Friend” and “New York, New York” were just some of the highlights that thrilled the audience.

Along with a twelve-piece orchestra led by conductor/drummer Michael Berkowitz and pianist/musical supervisor Billy Stritch, the concert performance of almost two hours duration (with interval), is full of personal stories, anecdotes and heartfelt reminiscences.
